meet our founder
Hello, my name is Connie King.
Connie King is a dynamic and passionate advocate for social causes, with over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Social Welfare. Following her graduation, Connie worked with at-risk youth for the California Youth Authority, where she discovered her passion for empowering vulnerable communities.
After the 1992 Los Angeles riots, Connie founded Passages to Success, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth. She expanded her reach as a business owner, teaching women in low-income communities the art of floral arrangements and how to turn it into a successful business. Her success in the events and meeting planning industry led her to found Bon'Aire Affairs, a consulting service that helps businesses achieve their goals through strategic planning and execution.
As an advocate for racial equality and social justice, Connie is committed to revolutionizing traditional paradigms found amongst non-profit organizations and inspiring unprecedented change. Her goal is to strike a balance of equality amongst races, ethnicities, and backgrounds, empowering Black communities across the nation.
